As I was sanding and finishing this Danish Egg, I was blown-away by how fine, consistent and straight the grain pattern is in this block of briar. I rarely see them so nice. So, I finished the pipe is a classic style of light brown over a russet contract. Black palm is adds an interesting decorative element to the mortise wich is further set-against the black/red swirl cumberland stem.
