I call this Reverse Calabas La Perilleuse after the circa 1758 cannon by Beringer of Strasbourg France. This cannon was used extensively in North America during the French and Indian Wars and the American Revolution. True to the beautiful craftsmanship of the original artillery piece, this pipe features a stunning grain pattern accentuated by a dark brown over black contrast dye and a breach cap mortise.
