In world of Pipes, there are traditional shapes and then there are unique, on-of-a-kind shapes. This piece falls into the latter category.  About a year ago, I started experimenting with variations of a bent Dublin and arrived at this unique shape that creates a sense of a flowing wave form. This particular piece features stunning straight grain on the smooth finished sides representing the glassy surface of a body of water while the blast finish begins at the rim, wraps around the underside pipe and ends with the mortise representing the chaotic nature of churning water.
